Ich wäre für eine mischung von a und b, sodass immer mal wieder gebiete in der größe von geb 3 rauskommen:

Besonders gut wäre das auch für die quests, sodass es nicht immer gleich 5-10 neue sind, sondern halt immer mal wieder 1-2...

Vielleicht könnte man ja schon immer ne woche oder so davor schon sagen, was man für's neue gebiet braucht, sodass man sich schon mal darauf vorbereiten kann...
